Fructose is fruit sugar and the sweetest of the simple sugars.
What types of foods contain fructose?
Fructose can naturally be found in all fruits, and it’s ”added” to many other foods – such as softdrinks, candy bars, and bread - in the form of High Fructose Corn Syrup.
What is the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA)?
It is recommended that one should keep the intake of all “added” sugars to less than 10% of their daily diet.
Are there health risks associated with carbohydrates?
Too much fructose can lead to Type II Diabetes and obesity.
